Upcoming Conventions

Next month Flesk will be at Baltimore Comic Con, Sept. 2-4, in Baltimore, Maryland. We will be bringing new titles including Carbon 2 by Mark Schultz, Elfquest: The Art of the Story by Wendy and Richard Pini, Nexus Chronicles by Steve Rude, Surrender, My Sweet by Bruce Timm, and many more. Come visit us at the Flesk and Spectrum booth!

Mark Schultz will be at our booth all three days! Many of Mark’s Flesk titles will be available for fans to spruce up their collections. Also be sure to catch Frank Cho at the show as well, and don’t worry, we have been assured by Frank’s publicist that he will be wearing pants all three days.

For those attending Dragon Con in Atlanta, GA Sept. 2-5, stop by and see Daren Bader. He will have copies of Tribes of Kai available for purchase.

Welcome J.A.W. Cooper to the Flesk family!

We’re so happy to share that Cooper and Flesk are working on a book together! Her work is gorgeous and we’re excited at the chance to publish her first art book collection.

Recently Cooper joined us at the Flesk booth at San Diego Comic Con. Just as soon as she pulled out a stack of originals a group of artists converged within a few minutes of each other and absorbed themselves in her work. It was a magic moment that we’ve never seen happen before. Before we knew it, Travis Lewis, Dave Palumbo, Mark Schultz, Jim Silke, Vicki Williams, Allen Williams, Daren Bader, Greg Preston and John Flesk surrounded the table and were all caught up in Cooper corner.

We have since begun the early planning stages of the book and can’t wait to share more details on the project in the coming months.

Coming this Fall: Spectrum 23: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art!

As the summer nears its closure, it’s time for the latest edition of Spectrum! Spectrum 23 hits store shelves this November but is currently available to pre-order in the Flesk store at a discounted price for a limited time.

A pair of cases of Arthur Adams Monsters Attacks!!! just arrived in Chicago. Just in time for Arthur to have at his booth P18 in Artists Alley during C2E2. Joyce Chin is also there. We are getting low on stock on this book. Stop by and grab your copy before they are all gone!!!

Our pal Frank Cho will also be at the C2E2 Chicago event this weekend. I sent him a few cases of Drawing Beautiful Women books to have at his booth. Frank posted that he will do a head sketch in the oversized Studio Edition if you pick one up from him there. He’ll only have 5 copies.

William Stout will be at the Toronto Comicon. He will have original artwork and Flesk books including Hallucinations, Inspirations, Dinosaur Discoveries and more.

Hi, all,

We know that the folks at Tonko House are amazing, but we are still floored by the incredible response during The Art of The Dam Keeper book premier today at the Tonko House booth during the opening at CTN. We sold all of the advance copies in less than three hours. We had the privileged to meet nearly 200 enthusiastic people who share our passion for what Tonko House is creating. Thanks to everyone who visited. The Dam Keeper fans are the greatest!

Thank you Academy of Art University!

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone at the Academy of Art University and to those at the Atelier Gallery for making the Spectrum book signing event possible. I would also like to thank the caterers, the artists, Academy of Art University students and to the fans who all took part in making this event a wonderful and fun evening.

The Spectrum book signing event which was held on Friday, November 13th resulted in a thrilling evening. Two dozen artists arrived and hundreds of fans and Academy of Art University students arrived to partake in the festivities. The signing is open to the public and was hosted by the Academy of Art University.

This special event was held at the Atelier Gallery located at 79 New Montgomery in San Francisco, California from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.

In attendance was Spectrum 21 Grand Master Iain McCaig, Spectrum Muse Award creators Colin and Kristine Poole, Spectrum Founders Arnie & Cathy Fenner, and Spectrum Director John Fleskes, plus Spectrum artists Steven Russell Black, Alina Chau, Craig Elliott, Te Hu, Kellan Jett, Randy Gallegos, Jean Ji In Kim, Stephanie Law, Michael Manomivibul, Brynn Metheney, Sho Murase, Mark Newman, Karla Ortiz, Paolo Rivera, Dug Stanat, Josh Viers, Allen Williams and Alyssa Winans! Original Spectrum publisher Tim Underwood also made an appearance.
