Hello, everyone,
I heard the sad news of Jim Silke’s passing last Sunday evening. Jim was the consummate gentleman. He was always dressed well. He had an impeccable way of speaking, with a gentle laugh and he loved to smile. Jim was very engaging and curious, and had a flair for perfection in all that he was involved in. Just looking at him, I imagined he was the living embodiment of a Hollywood actor from the golden age. It’s inspiring to see how his career as an artist started so late in his life. It was my honor to work directly with him on his Jungle Girls and Jim Silke Sketchbook titles that we were lucky to publish. He will be missed.
